If you want to encourage other entrepreneurs to keep on sharing on social media or through blogging, there are a few things you can do. For some, social media and blogging is their life so rather than just watching and reading your favorites, then doing nothing (which is what the majority of people do) why not find a way to encourage them! It simply takes some thoughtful action on your part that will take only moments of your time, but will be a priceless gift to your fellow entrepreneurs.
Ask Questions
Everyone loves talking about themselves, or telling you their story. It makes people feel loved when you ask real questions of them. If you come across a creative you really love why not ask them a question. You never know how much this simple act can encourage them to keep on sharing.
Comment
If a particular blog or social media post interests you, make a comment on it. Even if all you say is that you related to the post, or "good job" it will make them feel great. Sometimes entrepreneurs feel like they are posting to the air and a comment will ensure that he or she realizes that someone is reading.
Reciprocate
If another entrepreneur re-tweets your new blog posts, re-tweet theirs. It will encourage people to keep on going when they don't want to because they'll know that you care.
Show Interest
Sometimes even a private email to a fellow entrepreneur will go far in keeping them blogging and encouraged to keep going.
Thank Them
When someone posts a comment, social media post, or even a blog post that really speaks to you, or does something that means something to you, tell them. Thanking people for their actions, their posts, their just being there goes so far in encouraging an entrepreneur that you just can't even quantify the impact your "thank you" might have.
You don't have to spend a lot of time doing these actions. Set aside a few minutes each time you are scrolling your Facebook or Instagram feed or reading through blogs to: question, comment, share and thank those who are helping you when you read what they write. Entrepreneurs are not mind readers and might be feeling like their content is not doing any good for anyone without you taking the time to tell them.
